The tubular head of the forestry sledge is filled with steel shot. The resulting effect is that the energy of the steel shot is transferred with a slight delay when the mallet's contact surface hits the workpiece. The reduced rebound allows the impact energy to be absorbed with perfect efficiency. The result is impact of exceptional magnitude.
What is more, forestry sledges allow for work with greatly reduced strain on the joints and greater noise-dampening when compared to ordinary steel hammers.
Made of special nylon, the replaceable inserts are very durable, noise-dampening, splinter-proof and suitable for extremely high impact forces. They are also flat and allow for the gentle driving of wooden stakes without damaging them.
The robot-welded hammer head has a built-in handle protection sleeve.
The long-fibre and ultra durable hickory handle is varnished and shaped ergonomically.
Non-rebound sledges for extra powerful strikes and working with reduced strain on the joints and noise-dampening work.
